A Diverse Restaurant and Nightspot on Main Street

Marisa's Ristorante has been feeding and entertaining local residents since 1988

When you think of Trumbull institutions, one of the first places to come to mind is on Main Street.

In business since 1988, Marisa’s was originally a bright light of the restaurant scene in Bridgeport, originating from a location on Madison Avenue. The move to Trumbull allowed owner Marisa Marini and her sons Attilio and Mario to expand their footprint and their menu.

Finding a parking space at this center of Trumbull nightlife is next to impossible on a weekend night. Once you do, you won’t regret it.
A recent stop in for a birthday celebration with some friends more than
exceeded our expectations.

In addition to a creative and imaginative menu, Marisa’s offers a separate “small plates” menu for those of us that weren’t as hungry or wanted to share multiple dishes.  Our waitress treated us like family and was attentive without being overpowering.

Although the quieter dining rooms are often packed with business
diners and low-key conversations, the bar and newer “Murano room” were filled with people of all ages in a more lively frame of mind. In a matter of minutes, this newer addition converts from a restaurant to a music stage.

We were treated to a trip down memory lane with That 80’s Band, who within an hour had nearly everyone on the dance floor, especially those of us who remember that music when it first came out.

Marisa’s also offers catering for parties of many different sizes, either on-site or at the McClinch Family Center at St. Catherine of Siena parish in Trumbull, or at The Sports Center in Shelton.  The restaurant is open for lunch Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 2:30 pm and for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 to 9 pm and Friday through Sunday from 5 to 10 pm.
