Trumbull Cops: Man Forged Mother's Checks
Police also nabbed a man accused of taking an iPhone from the Westfield Trumbull Mall.
The following arrest information was supplied by the Trumbull Police Department. It does not indicate convictions. All suspects are expected to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
Son Allegedly Steals Mother's Checks
A Winsted man is accused of stealing checks from this mother and cashing them for $8,530 over two and half years.
Keith Robert Hayden, 53, of Grove Street, is charged with third-degree larceny and nine counts of second-degree forgery.
Trumbull police said he was arrested by Winsted police and turned over to Trumbull officers.
His bond was set at $10,000.
Two DUIs
Two people are accused of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Linda Kervahn, 55, of Daniels Farm Road, is charged with DUI. Police said officers responded to an accident on Jan. 4 and found Kervahn. She allegedly admitted drinking and police said an open bottle of vanilla vodka was found in the car.
She allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication and her blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.199 and 0.19, nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08.
Her bond was set at $200.
Meanwhile, Nancy M. Nisberg, 48, of Imperial Court, Trumbull, is charged with DUI, failure to obey a traffic signal and failure to maintain minimum insurance.
Police said she was stopped at Route 111 and Route 25.
Two Charged in Disputes
Kevin Michael Therriault, 21, of Colony Avenue, Trumbull, is charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call and second-degree threatening.
Police said he was arguing with his father on Jan. 5 and threatened to have him assaulted after trying to prevent his father from calling police.
On Jan. 6, Annette Jongsma, 45, of Evelyn Street, Trumbull, was charged with third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief. Police said she argued with her husband's former wife.
Alleged iPhone Theft and Other Larcenies
Sergio Riccardi, 28, of the 700 block of Main Street, Monroe, is accused of stealing a $650 iPhone from the Westfield Trumbull Mall. He is charged with fifth-degree larceny.
Police said he ran from the mall after taking the phone but was tracked down using his license plate.
His bond was set at $1,000.
Aixa May Rivera, 19, of the 2200 block of Main Street, Bridgeport, is charged with fifth- and sixth-degree larceny and possession of a shoplifting device.
Police said she was found with four expensive pocketbooks from Lord & Taylor, and pliers and scissors.
Her bond was set at $2,500.
Finally, David Gonzalez, 24, of Gurdon Street, Bridgeport, was charged with three counts of sixth-degree larceny.
