Trumbull Cops: Man Pulled Fake Gun in Street Fight

Street Fight

Anthony Pena, 26, of East Main Street, Stamford, is accused of brandishing an air gun at his sister during a shoving match on Aug. 27 on Juniper Ridge Road.

Pena is charged with carrying a weapon in a motor vehicle, carrying a facsimile firearm and breach of the peace. His sister, Melissa Pena, 24, of Topaz Lane, Trumbull, is charged with second-degree breach of the peace.

Police said the brother went came with three women to fight another woman. When his sister came out, the two began arguing and shoving each other and then he brandished the gun.

Anthony Pena's bond was set at $500 and Melissa Pena was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Weapons Charges

A Bridgeport woman is accused of stealing a handgun from a Trumbull man who invited her into his home.

Bessie M. Davis, 43, of Central Avenue, is charged with criminal possession of a firearm, theft of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and sixth-degree larceny. She was also served with two warrants for failure to appear in court.

Police said a Trumbull man invited her into his home and she stole his gun from inside a coffee table while he was out of the room.

Davis, who is on probation, was arrested while visiting her probation officer, police said.

Her bond was set at $5,000 on the weapons charges.
