Young Talent Shines at THS

Trumbull High School singers and musicians perform at Senior Showcase, eleven chosen to perform at All-State in April.

Standing before a crowded auditorium at Trumbull High School, Choir Director Anne Tornillo addressed the audience. “This annual tradition allows us to highlight the work of our talented seniors,” she said.

Thus began Friday evening’s performance of Trumbull High School’s "Senior Showcase," an annual event presenting vocal and instrumental performances, dance numbers and plenty of camaraderie.

More than 20 talented seniors at Trumbull High participated in the event.  The evening featured a solo flute performance, a string quartet, tap dancing to “Get Happy,” an arrangement and performance of Billy Joel’s greatest hits, students providing guitar and piano accompaniment, and vocalists performing songs from yesterday and today.
