Jon Haydostian, 50, of Trumbull, Connecticut entered the eternal realm Friday, Dec. 28, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his friends and family at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport. Jon was born in Fairfield, CT on Nov. 2, 1962.
Jon graduated from Sacred Heart University in 1984 where he was president of the Gamma Chi Zeta Fraternity. He later went on to receive an MBA in 1987, and held many jobs in the finance service industry.
His 15-years of experience included employment with Mechanics and Famers Bank, GE Capital, and two Vice President Management positions at Citigroup. In 2010, He partnered with a friend and opened Allstate Insurance in Monroe, CT.
In college Jon was an avid softball player. He was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan and loved Bruce Springsteen and the Allman Brothers Band; he also enjoyed playing the guitar, and will be remembered by some for participating in many jam sessions over the years.
He will be remembered by all, as a kind and gentle person with a huge heart, who constantly offered up many laughs and kind words.
He leaves behind two daughters, Ashley and Anna, of Trumbull and is also survived by his mother Mary and sister Janet of Clearwater, FL.
Memorial services will be held at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 351 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe, on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. all are welcome.
