Don Watson, architect of Earth Rise Design received "Citizen Conservationist of The Year Award in Fairfield County" from the Southwest Conservation District 66th Annual Awards Meeting held recently.
Don worked on the Project at Old Mine Park. The project was a streamside buffer demonstration project to reduce erosion and flooding as well as providing water quality and a wildlife refuge along the streambanks. This project is considered soft engineering which is more practical and less expensive.
