Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut Encourages Residents to Donate Household Items During Spring Cleaning Season

Spring is officially upon us, and Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut is encouraging residents to clean out their closets, de-clutter their houses, and donate gently used clothing and household goods during this spring cleaning season.

Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut, a non-profit organization that provides employment and support services to people with disabilities and other challenges, uses the revenue from donation sales to fund job training programs and community-based services. Goodwill provides career services for anyone to boost their chances of getting hired, including assistance in resume writing, job interview practice and access to job leads.

"At Goodwill, our mission is to help people realize the positive impact their donations have on strengthening families and our local community,” said Vickie Volpano, President, Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut. “By donating household goods, spring cleaners can help fund Goodwill’s employment programs that provide critical career services and programs to help people who are unemployed or underemployed,”
