Buyer Beware: Bullying Tactics Used Against RWS, Trumbull Residents

Dear Valued Community,

Residential Waste Systems is a family owned business and with your help will be passed on for generations to come. Our family was born and raised in the communities we serve. John Bria the owner has picked up trash in Trumbull and Monroe for 32 years, his son JR the manager coaches at St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, his daughter the receptionist attended Masuk High School, and his wife and her family owned Marie’s Sandwich Shop in Trumbull for 40 years. We love the community we serve.

Recently Winters Brothers of CT approached RWS trying to purchase our company and we respectfully declined their offer. Since then, Winters Brothers has begun using bullying tactics soliciting our customers door to door trying to take our business away from us. Some of our customers have been solicited and called our office immediately to let us know of the situation and we thank them.

This tactic has been used by Winters in two other states in order to build up a company to sell.  A large part of Winters Bothers is owned by a private investment group based outside the United States.
