The Watermark at 3030 Park to Open New Exhibit Featuring Bridgeport Artist

The Watermark at 3030 Park is pleased to announce that it will feature the artwork of Bridgeport artist Margery Small at the senior living community from July 25 through October 8th.

 

The opening reception for her exhibit entitled, “Life” will be held on Friday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. at The Watermark, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport-Fairfield town line. Small will discuss her work during the reception, which will include light refreshments and entertainment by pianist Tony Procaccini.

Small combines paint, cloth, paper and photographs to create abstract pieces that represent significant moments throughout life. She attempts to transform the sometimes mundane routines and rituals of daily life into art that is intellectual, emotional and spontaneous.

“It is our pleasure to showcase the work of talented local artists such as Margery to our residents and guests,” said Marlane Argianas, Resident Services Coordinator at The Watermark at 3030 Park. “Margery’s fresh perspective and sentimental approach to her artwork make this collection truly unique.”

 

Margery received a Master of Arts degree from Adelphi University, and studied Fine Arts at Parsons The New School for Design and Hofstra University. Her artwork has been exhibited in individual and group shows in New York City, and has been featured in a number of private collections.
