Bobcat Out for a Stroll in Trumbull

Local readers sent in this photo of a bobcat wandering through their yard Monday.

Bob and Cheryl Beatty snapped this picture of a bobcat walking along their driveway near the intersection of Route 108 and the Merritt Parkway Monday afternoon.

Bobcats live throughout Connecticut but are rarely seen, as they tend to stay away from humans.

"Bobcat attacks on people are virtually unknown," according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), though they have been known to attack domestic cats and other small animals.
