Trumbull LDS Church Pitches in for Hurricane Cleanup

On Sunday, Nov. 4, about 60 members of the Trumbull Mormon Helping Hands organization gathered in the Fairfield coast area this past Saturday and Sunday to assist residents in the neighborhoods hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy.  The tasks they performed included emptying flooded homes of furniture, appliances, debris, sand and mud, as well as removing drywall and floorboards. The group anticipates returning to the area to continue their service for several weeks to come. The Trumbull Mormon Helping Hands organization is made up of men, women, and teens who attend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which meets on Bonnie View Drive.
