On Sunday, April 29 Long Hill Baptist Church in Trumbull will celebrate the 55th anniversary of the church's first service. Pastor Robert Hammond will preach at 11:00. A lunch reception will follow the morning service. All are invited to attend.
The church began on March 13, 1957, when the Baptist Temple of Bridgeport voted to sponsor a Sunday school and worship service in the Long Hill area of Trumbull. The first service was held on April 28th, 1957. An organizational service was held for the church on January 30th, 1958 with 47 charter members in attendance. The church met at the Jane Ryan School until it's current building was completed in the Summer of 1967.
