Award-winning Singer Michael Bolton will take the stage for this year's concert.
It marks his only Connecticut appearance this year, according to a press release.
First Selectman Tim Herbst said Bolton is as accomplished as Train, one of the most successful acts Trumbull has hosted.
"We want to make sure this event is a success," he said.
Bolton is a former metal singer who turned to easy-listening music, where he scored with numerous hit songs including "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" and a remake of "When a Man Loves a Woman." (His success was lampooned in the cult film "Office Space," in which a disgruntled computer programmer coincidentally shares his name.)

Bolton's sung with Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Renee Fleming and BB King.
Bolton also has had a film career, with roles in "Meet Wally Sparks," "Snow Dogs," "High Voltage" and "The Onion Movie."
He's also formed numerous charities and is involved is social activism.
Tickets go on sale Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. Reserved seats are $45 and $35 for lawn seats, plus taxes. They are also available online at www.premierboxoffice.com or charge by phone at (866) 558-4253.
Tickets can be purchased from the Recreation Department, across from Town Hall, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays.
Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
Herbst noted that the town has hired a new concert promoter and is having organizational meetings regarding Trumbull Day and the concert. For now, the town is sticking with concert, Herbst said.
The first selectman had talked about combining elements of Trumbull Day and the concert.
