Name: Godiva (for her chocolate-colored coat)

Sex: Female

Age: Young

Size: Medium

Breed: Chocolate lab/pitbull terrier mix

Personality: Godiva loves people, but she also has a mind of her own. She needs a handler who is experienced and energetic enough to keep up with her.

Backstory: Godiva arrived at the shelter with another pitbull mix, Duke, and they are both believed to have been dumped by their owner. A man found the two dogs curled up in his car, which was parked in his driveway at his residence on Nichols Avenue. Godiva was very underfed and skinny when she came in on June 28, but she has been gaining weight steadily since then.

Housetrained?: Yes

Spayed/Neutered?: Yes. Godiva has had a few litters in the past, but that’s it for her.
