located at 33 Quality St. invites you to particpate in a good cause this Saturday. The Clothesline Project on Domestic Violence is a collective effort to bring awareness to an often overlooked issue. Put together by several communities, a ceremony will take place with a visual hanging of t-shirts that have written messages or illustrations designed by victims of domestic violence. Even if you have never been directly affected you can still decorate a shirt to contribute. Stop over to the libary and pickup a blank t-shirt. The clothesline will go up on October 13th for display. The Beardsley Zoo located at 1875 Noble Ave. in Bridgeport wants you to come down and enjoy family hayrides. The grand opening of the zoo's hayrides start this weekend and run through the end of November. Gather the children and their friends for a fun afternoon, between noon and 3 p.m., starting at the W.O.L.F. Cabin and are $2 a piece after admission to the zoo.
