Non-Fiction Discussion Group:  Brown Bag Lunch Meeting. Wed. Apr. 3, 12 – 1pm. Director Sue Horton’s group meets the first Wed. of each month.  Bring lunch!  April's title is Beyond the River: The Untold Story of the Heroes of the Underground Railroad, by Ann Hagedorn.   She tells the story of the Ripley line of the Underground Railroad, and the struggles of the men and women, black and white, which fought "the war before the war" along the Ohio River. Check the Library for copies; ideas welcome!  Drop in to join!  

Shedding Light on Applicant Tracking Systems.  Evening Career Lectures.  Wed. Apr 3, 6:30 - 7:30pm.  In today's electronic job market, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) have become the norm for pre-screening job applicants.  It's easy for job-seekers to get lost in this technology, but understanding how ATS software works and using it properly will maximize your chances!  Elizabeth Kaufman will present.  Register.  Free.

Storytime for 2 1/2 - 3 Years Old.  Tues. Apr. 2, 10:30 - 11am & Wed. Apr. 3, 9:30 – 10am.  Books, fingerplays, music, and a craft. Children or caregivers from Trumbull. Register. 

Pre-K Storytime. Tues. Apr. 2, 11 - 11:30am. New storytime just for children entering kindergarten in the fall.  Child or caregiver from Trumbull.  Register.  

3 & 4 Year Old Storytimes.  Wed. Apr. 3, 10:30 – 11am.  A new storytime!  Child or caregiver from Trumbull.  Register. 

Baby Cafe - 6 months to 2 years.  Wed. Apr. 3, & Thurs. Apr. 4, 11-11:30am.  Baby's first introduction to the library! Drop in. 

 

Fairchild Nichols Branch

 

Storytime for 4 year olds at Fairchild-Nichols.  Tues. Apr. 2, 10:15 - 10:45am.  Music, stories, and a craft!  Caregivers stay in Children's area. Trumbull residents.  Register. 

Puppets...Puppets...Puppets @ Fairchild-Nichols Branch.  Wed.  Apr. 3, 6:15 - 7:15pm.  Ages 8-12 create and perform with some amazing puppets.  Must register for the consecutive 6 weeks and Spring Break performance 4/16/13.  Trumbull residents.   

Fairchild's Baby Cafe: Ages 6 mos. to 2 Years. Thurs. Apr. 4, 10:15 - 10:45am.  Introduce your little one to books, music, rhymes and increase early literacy skills! Child or caregiver Trumbull resident.  Drop in.
