The National Weather Service is calling for temperatures in the low 90s for the rest of the week.
The coolest temperature is expected to be 83 on Sunday.
A heatwave is defined as temperatures exceeding 90 degrees for at least three days.
In Trumbull, four suggested cooling centers are at the Westfield Trumbull Mall, the Trumbull Library, Bowtie Cinemas and the Trumbull Senior Center.
