Trumbull will dispose of old flags in a ceremony involving local Boy Scouts and veterans this Monday at 7 p.m.
The ceremony will take place at the VFW Post 10059 off Whitney Avenue. Kaatz Pond is nearby
You can bring your old flag to the ceremony.
According to flagkeeper.org, the U.S. Flag Code states, "The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."
