Sunday, September 30, 2012 First Selectman Tim Herbst addressed worshipers at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Trumbull. In recognition of the Trumbull church’s 50th year dedication anniversary, Selectman Herbst presented an official proclamation to the congregation and declared September 5, 2012 as the “Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Day.” He recognized and thanked those in attendance for their contributions and service to the community. Bishop David Hogan of Trumbull accepted the proclamation on behalf of the two congregations which share the building on Bonnie View Drive.
