Volunteers, Sponsors Needed for Upcoming Trumbull Day 2014

Celebrate Trumbull with music, food and fireworks on June 28.

Trumbull Day, as is tradition, returns this year on Saturday, June 28. In the event of inclement weather, a Rain Date of June 29 has been set so Trumbull doesn’t miss out on the celebration.

Originally established in 1972 to celebrate the Town of Trumbull’s 175th Anniversary, Trumbull Day is a fun-filled family event highlighting the best of what our community has to offer — from its people to businesses to non-profits and other local organizations.

The event will open at noon with the fun and amusements of carnival rides and games, and a spectacular fireworks display by Zambelli Pyrotechnics will close the evening.

Throughout the day, the Main Stage will feature a variety of live musical acts, and each of the bands has a close tie to Trumbull. There will also be more than 20 specialty food vendors, a wine and beer tent for adults, arts and crafts vendors, and representation from a number of our local businesses.

Trumbull Day 2014 will be held on the fields behind Trumbull High School (72 Strobel Road) and Hillcrest Middle School. This admission cost is $5 per person and children under the age of 5 are free.

Volunteers are needed to help out on Trumbull Day. If you are interested in volunteering at Trumbull Day, please contact Elizabeth Mastroianni at emastroianni.trumbullday@gmail.com.
