Cash Upholds Family Legend

Roseanne Cash will perform at a luncheon and benefit concert on Oct. 2 to benefit Family ReEntry

It must be tough to have famous parents. You’re always in the spotlight and your life is under the constant scrutiny of the press.

Despite growing up the daughter of legendary performer Johnny Cash, Roseanne Cash has made a name for herself as a country music songwriter and performer. Her 2010 memoir, Composed, describes her life as the eldest child of the legend and his first wife, Vivian Liberto.

In 2010, Cash received an Album of the Year award for her
2009 recording, “The List,” which soared to number one on the Country Music charts for most of 2010. She will bring her music and memories to the gardens at Bydale in Greenwich to benefit Family ReEntry on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011.

Family ReEntry, based in Norwalk and Bridgeport, works with
thousands of formerly incarcerated men, women and youth who want a second chance to stay away from crime and prison. Their family-focused approach concentrates on each individual's personal experiences, living environments, belief systems and underlying behavioral health issues to help them overcome the many challenges they face.

Bydale is located at John Street and Richmond Hill Road in Greenwich, Connecticut.  Doors open at noon, and valet parking is available. The event also features a luncheon before the concert, and a custom, hand-made Jarrett Guitar will be sold at auction.
