A Visit from Colonel Wooster

It's the winter of 1864, and Connecticut's very own Colonel Wooster, of Derby, will be paying a visit to the Trumbull Historical Society to discuss his experiences in the Civil War so far. Colonel William Burr Wooster commanded the 20th and later the 29th CT infantry. Joining him will be Miss Jay Wallace, he betrothed, of Ansoinia.

5 Trumbull men served in the 29th, one of the Union's all black regiments. Our Civil War exhibits feature a special display dedicated to the 29th, and was created by Trumbull High School senior Meredith Ramsey.

This program is presented by living history interpreter James Connery Jr., who has been a licensed Gettysburg battlefield guide for the past 10 years. The performace will last about an hour with a question and answer period following the presentation.

There will be a suggested donation of $5, $3 for THS members. This will help support our educational programs.
