WILTON, CT., -- Jazz in the Garden returns featuring the acclaimed Grace Kelly Quintet on Sunday, September 9, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Event sponsor is the Weir Farm Art Center, in cooperation with Weir Farm National Historic Site and with support from The Wilton Bank and special thanks to Catherine and Ed Romer. All proceeds benefit the Artist in Residence program administered by the Weir Farm Art Center, which draws talented artists from all around the world, giving them a chance to create in the inspirational landscape of Weir Farm National Historic Site.
Unable to perform this year because of a scheduling conflict, Chris Brubeck said “Grace Kelly is an incredibly young, talented jazz musician. We shared the stage with her at the Clearwater Jazz Festival a few years ago. Recently she has added a great singing voice to her incredible sax chops. Don’t miss her!”
The Grace Kelly Quintet, with Grace Kelly on sax and vocals, is earning rave reviews from jazz enthusiasts from Newport to New York City. The quintet includes Jason Palmer on trumpet, Jordan Perlson on drums, Pete McCann on guitar and Evan Gregor on bass. The group will be making its debut performance at Weir Farm National Historic Site, host of the concert.
