The Trumbull High School Drama Program has been nominated for Outstanding Production of the Year, among other things, for the spring musical, "Crazy for You."
"This year’s THS musical production of the Gershwins’ CRAZY FOR YOU garnered nine nominations, including its fourth consecutive nomination for Outstanding Production of the Year," said Director Jessica Spillane.
THS will perform a company number at the Connecticut High School Musical Theater Awards black tie gala at the Palace Theater in Waterbury on June 4. Senior Matt Johnson was also recognized with a nomination nod for “Outstanding Leading Actor” for his portrayal of Bobby Child, Spillane said.
The winners in the leading actor and actress categories go on to compete nationally in New York City.

The Connecticut High School Musical Theater Awards program is run by the Spirit of Broadway Theater of Norwich, Connecticut, a professional black-box theater specializing in producing innovative, high-quality off-Broadway and regional theater works with a special focus on producing new works, Spillane said.
