TEN Asian Bistro Marks the Chinese New Year

The recently-opened restaurant celebrated Chinese New Year's Eve with traditional acts.

State Rep. Tony Hwang and his friends, TEN Asian Bistro owners Eric Xie and James Chau, shared their New Year's Eve celebration with a crowd at the .

Hwang, who immigrated from China as a child, said the opportunity for cultural contributions is "what makes America so great."

Mall Senior General Manager Bryan Gaus said the sit-down restaurant is one of several coming into the mall.

First Selectman Tim Herbst said he was "very, very excited to have you here in town."

"It's a very exciting time for our mall. Little by little, you are seeing a renaissance here at the Trumbull Mall. Thank you very much and I wish you every success," he said.
