Spring is just around the corner! (Or possibly 2 corners?)

Webb Mountain Discovery Zone is pleased to announce that online registration is now open for “Discovering Spring”, an enrichment program for preschool students (ages 3-6) and their parents or caregivers beginning in March!   Due to requests from parents, additional classes have been added to the weekly preschool program in addition to Discovery Zone’s existing school field trips, birthdays and special events.   Each of these programs supports our goal to introduce nature to children at an early age, so its benefits will last a lifetime.

Each weekly hour long program will feature a story and craft at the Discovery Zone outdoor classroom and a walk along the trails tying in the day’s theme.  New this year is a morning class being held on Mondays at 11am to help work around afternoon naps or activities.  Each Monday and Thursday a class will be held at 2pm.  Tuesday’s class will be held at 1pm.  On Saturdays, a fifth and sixth weekly class will be held for families who are looking for a creative way to spend time with their preschool or kindergarten students on a weekend.  The first Saturday class will begin at 9am, and the second at 10:30am.

Tom Ellbogen, Director of the Discovery Zone stated:  “We continue our commitment to making young children’s initial encounter with nature a fun, positive experience.  Studies show that being out in nature at an early age offers unsurpassed opportunities for mental, emotional and physical growth and we believe our rich and varied ecosystem provides the perfect platform to offer children a stimulating and memorable experience, with important long-term impacts.

The five weekly programs are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays beginning March 24th and are available for $30 per child.  A sibling discount is applied when a second child is registered from the same family.  We also offer 10 weeks of programming for a discounted price.
