Trumbull Special Elections for Board of Finance, State Rep

Two special elections called for July 22 in Trumbull.

Trumbull is holding special elections on Tuesday, July 22, to fill vacancies on the Board of Finance and for the 122nd legislative district.

Trumbull voters at all four of the town’s voting districts will be choosing between Democratic nominee Lainie McHugh and Republican William Haberlin for the Board of Finance. The position opened up after State Rep. David Rutigliano (R-123) left the board in November.

Voters at District II (St. Joseph High School) will also be casting ballots for State Representative to fill the position left by the late Rep. Larry Miller (R-122).

The race for the 122nd is between Republican candidate Ben McGorty and Democrat Arlene Liscinsky, both of Shelton.

Voters at District II will have to check in at a separate table to obtain a special ballot for the State Representative race.

Trumbull’s Registrars of Voters will be available for voter registration Monday through Friday leading up to special elections, with extended hours to 5 p.m. starting Wednesday through July 21.

(There is no election-day registration for this vote.)
