Fall Back to Nature Day

It’s that time of year when the days are getting shorter and the air is crisp and cool.  We will be turning the clocks back before you know it, and Trumbull Nature and Arts Center invites you to join us on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from

10am – 2pm as we Fall Back to Nature

Fall Back to Nature Day is a FREE family-oriented event being offered by TNAC serving dual purposes.  First, we are opening the doors for community members to stop by and see what TNAC is all about.  Second, it honors our volunteers and sponsors – the most important resources we have as an organization. We will be acknowledging their commitment and presenting them with a token of our gratitude during a brief announcement at noon during the event.

Check out the fun, family activities we have planned:

· Meet Ranger Mark from 10am-11am.

· Make keepsake boxes and take part in a Nature Scavenger Hunt on our trail.

· Get crafty with our art activities.

· Dig in the dirt for hidden treasures.

· Guess the candy corn contest!

· Door prizes for children 12 & under (while supplies last).

· Donation site for non-perishables - which two local students will be donating to a local food bank

· Solarize CT will be there to answer questions about solar and winterizing.

· Talk to an Appalachian Trail member and learn about section-hiking the AT and backpacking.

Beverages and snacks will be available for sale by local scout troops.
