Fifth Annual Meet Monroe Business Showcase

The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is excited to present the fifth annual Meet Monroe, the town’s largest business exposition, open to the public. This showcase will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at a brand new location, the The Waterview, 215 Roosevelt Drive in Monroe.

For those who have not yet heard of this notable event, Meet Monroe is an annual, unique business showcase in which the community can meet local business owners one-on-one and explore the great products and services offered throughout Monroe.

The event kicks off with a business-to-business Sponsor’s reception at 2:30pm, sponsored by Charter Business. The Chamber is excited to present keynote speaker, Linda Gottleib of FIT Training. Her presentation, titled “Rock Your Energy to Rev Up Revenue” is aimed at energizing and transforming one’s business approach in a more constructive and wholly beneficial way. This Sponsors’ Reception has a $10 charge for current Chamber members and a $15 charge for non-members.

The tradeshow opens to the public at 4:00pm and proves to be one of the most engaging showcases the Chamber has generated thus far. Guests should try to arrive as early as possible, as the first two hundred visitors will receive a chance to “Win for Life” with a free scratch off ticket. There are also a number of sensational raffle prizes to be won, generously donated by local businesses across town. The expo will be bringing back Bill Hernandez of Party Cartoons, an incredibly talented artist who will be drawing free caricatures throughout the event for both children and parents alike.

Of course, what’s a business showcase without food? A number of local restaurants, including Bella Rosa, Maltose Express, Edible Arrangements and more, will provide free food samples, beer and wine tasting throughout the afternoon.
