History Ablaze! Jack-o-lantern contest, spooky stories and Halloween fun!

"History Ablaze
at the Trumbull Historical Society"

Prepare for ghoulish
family fun at the Trumbull Historical Society with our first annual "History Ablaze" Halloween bash! This spook-tacular event will 
feature a town-wide Jack-o'-Lantern contest and display of carved 
pumpkins, true tales of Trumbull's haunted history with live storytellers, face paintingand festive fall refreshments. The event is scheduled for Saturday, 
October 26th, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Tickets are $5 per person. For 
information about our Jack-o'-Lantern carving contest, see details below. Please note that some stories may be too scary for children under the age of 7.





Jack-o'-Lantern Contest Information

The Trumbull
Historical Society invites all town organizations, associations, and residents -- young and old -- to enter a carved pumpkin into our exciting Jack-o'-Lantern contest! There is no limit to the amount of entries, and residents may submit a pumpkin as part of an organization and/or as an individual. Prizes will be awarded. Please note that the Historical Society does NOT provide pumpkins -- contestants are responsible for providing and carving their own pumpkins.

Rules for Entry

1. Already

carved pumpkins must be dropped off and registered by 12 pm on October 26 (See drop-off and registration times below).

2. Carved pumpkins

must come with their own non-flame light.

3. Pumpkins entered into the contest are being donated to the Historical Society for display purposes. The Historical Society is not responsible for any lost or damaged pumpkins.

4. Contestants who
wish to pick up their pumpkins may do so the day after the event (Sunday, October 27th) between 12 and 4 pm.  All unclaimed pumpkins may be disposed of.

Contestant
registration and carved pumpkin drop off will take place Friday, October 25th from 3 pm to 6 pm, and Saturday, October 26th, from 9 am to 12

pm.
