The Language of Letting Go

A support group based on Melodie Beatty’s book, “The Language of Letting Go” meets at Grace Church every Tuesday night.  The group is for those who find they often feel as if they are struggling in their life, their relationships or their self image.  Melodie Beatty has written extensively on the topic of recovering from co-dependency, and in the Language of Letting Go, she presents helpful insights about how accept one’s powerlessness over the world and others, yet at the same time to claim one’s own inner power.  This support group will help people explore the ways they often let themselves be overly defined by the views of others rather than choosing to live authentically from their own center.  If you’d like new perspectives on how to take better care of yourself, to grow in self esteem or to put your problems in a more manageable perspective, this group might be very helpful to your recovery.

The Language of Letting Go Group meets in the office of Grace Episcopal Church every Tuesday from 7-8:30 PM.  The group will be facilitated by The Rev. Nancy Gage LADC, the deacon at Grace Church, and by Donna Voges RN, Grace Church’s parish nurse.
