Hurricane Sandy Victims Still Need Help

Angela D'Amico's family was devastated by Hurricane Sandy last year, and it's not over yet.

"I write this with a heavy heart full of sadness for the destruction Hurricane Sandy has caused. The East Coast was hit by this massive storm leaving devastation across the coast from New York, New Jersey, Staten Island, Long Island and many other places.  Words cannot describe the devastation all around and I personally have seen more than I can bear.  My 7 Family members, have lost their homes, cars and personal belongings.  We are blessed that life was spared but the rebuilding begins for them," she said in her appeal on Gofundme.com.

"My families have no homes to go to, just boxes of their belongings picked from the debris and rubble; nothing more.  I have been spending all my days since the storm helping my family, 1 from Staten Island,1 from New Jersey, 3 from East Rockaways, 1 from Long Beach and 1 from Massapequa Long Island.  I have seen such destruction; 12 feet of water in my Aunt's home, in Brick Township, NJ, lost their home to the Atlantic; just swept away.  For each family member the story is the same, total destruction."
