I want to send a heart-felt "Thank You" to the Trumbull Woman's Club. I enjoyed being their Guest Speaker today and being invited to their luncheon afterwards. As I chatted with all of the ladies at their tables after my speech, I heard about so many of their own cultural experiences, journeys and traditions. The room was filled with energetic and vibrant people who listened to my speech with their ears and hearts. The historical and educational portions of my book were enjoyable, but most of all, I loved it when their members and Education Committee became engaged in my speech and they shared their perspectives as well. I was touched when they presented me with such a lovely bouquet of bright colored roses at the end of my speech. It was a memorable journey on my CT book signing trail and author meet and greet. Thank you to all of the Trumbull Woman's Club members, Mary Murphy, Barbara Pezzullo and to everyone who attended my "Slices of Life" lecture today. More importantly, everyone understood my mission as an author, lecturer and the purpose of my book, "Slices of Life Italian-American Stories."
