It is with great pleasure that I announce the first independent bookstore to show interest in selling my book, "Slices of Life Italian-American Stores", in their store is Burgundy Books, located on 1285 Boston Post Rd in Westbrook, CT. Linda Williams, the Owner of Burgundy Books will prominently display my book in her store window. You can check out my book on display as of April 1st in her store window. Also, she will be hosting a book signing party for me at her store on Friday, May 2nd, from 7pm-9pm and on Saturday, May 3rd from 1pm-3pm. Complimentary wine, cheese, dessert and cake will be provided at the event. The event is free and open to the public. There will be an author meet and greet and conversation about some of the stories in my book. It will be a triple celebration on May 2nd and 3rd as it marks the one year anniversary of Linda's store and it is her birthday weekend. It is also the FIRST independent book store in CT to sell my book and host a book signing party with me. I really am excited about working with Linda and continuing to work with other small business owners in CT.
I am fortunate to have so much support and having rewarding experiences working with so many local business people at delis, coffee shops, universities, senior centers, schools, libraries, rotary clubs, and many different organizations. Being a Guest Speaker and Lecturer at so many venues at my book signings has been priceless.
As soon I started speaking with Linda Williams, Owner of Burgundy Books, I knew that there was a special, warm connection. Her knowledge, creativity, warmth and the fact that she was open to my ideas and suggestions were indications that Burgundy Books would be the perfect location to sell my book.
