Thanks to Christine, Maureen and the entire Bijou team who made me feel welcome during my book signing at the Bijou this past Friday, 8/2. Also, I had the pleasure of chatting with so many people from Trumbull, Stratford, Bridgeport, Monroe and other towns. It was great to see everyone stop by my "Slices of Life" book display during the NYC Swing band's intermission or after their performance. My friends from St. Joseph High School and Sacred Heart University really showed their support by spreading the word, attending and buying the book. The people who stopped by to chat added so much warmth to my night. It was rewarding and enjoyable to speak to so many cultured, down to earth and intelligent people while enjoying the sounds of the NYC Swing band. Most of all, the first couple who bought my book that night, Tom and Ann Meath, were celebrating their 53rd wedding anniversary. That was a very special moment.
