Amel V. Pagnozzi, 90, U.S. Army Veteran

The following information comes from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home.

Amel Pagnozzi, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved husband of 64 years of the late Hilda Silva Pagnozzi, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Born in Bridgeport on April 28, 1923, he was a son of the late Annibol and Carmela Rustica Pagnozzi. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II who served his country in France and Germany. He loved boating and was a past member and Commodore of the Bridgeport Boat Owners association. He also loved playing the lottery and scratch offs.

He was pre-deceased by a son, Richard Pagnozzi, brothers, Ralph, Mario, Joseph “Pepe”, August and Roland Pagnozzi. Survivors include a loving daughter, Noreen Douglas and her husband Mark of Trumbull, grandson, Mark Douglas, Jr., his sister-in-law, Cloe Silva of Bridgeport, a nephew, Glenn Ferrante and his wife Robin, great nephew, Jeff Donaldson and his wife Amanda and their son, Tyler as well as several additional nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to meet directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull on Saturday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
