Obituary: Helene Reilly Wilczynski

Helene Reilly Wilczynski of Monroe was a longtime Trumbull resident.

Helene Reilly Wilczynski, loving wife of the late Thomas Wilczynski Sr., passed away January 14, 2013. She was a long time Trumbull resident before moving to Monroe and then to Southbury where she lived for the past 7 years. Helene was born in the Bronx, NY to John and Helen Reilly.

Our mother was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Southbury and a dedicated volunteer at the Southbury Food Bank where she directed volunteer activities. You could always count on mom to put the arm on you to support her monthly food drive distributions – family, friends and casual acquaintances were never safe from hard work when she needed you to volunteer. She dedicated her life to the service of others guiding countless people at the most difficult time of their lives.

For many years she was a volunteer at St. Vincent's Medical Center gift shop where she and friends would spend countless hours decorating the shop for holidays.
