Stanley G. Bernaski, age 87 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Virginia Hein Bernaski, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
Stanley was born in Bridgeport and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife Virginia include; his devoted children Dr. Edward J. Bernaski of New York City, and Susan Cavar and husband Joe of Trumbull, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m., meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
