Enforcing "No Left Turn" Signs

Please consider putting curblike dividers between incoming and outgoing lanes where no left turn is indicated. Make them curve to the right to deter people from taking the left. You know, like the area leaving Stop & Shop plaza onto Main St.
My daughter had a very close call today on White Plains Rd.

Some bozo took a left onto WP Rd. from the Ichiro driveway while my daughter was taking her right on WP Rd. from the banks across the street. The car almost hit her, she had to back away from the car to avoid it smashing into her. Please consider my suggestion, as I recall these driveways were all made "no left turn" because of the amount of accidents that had occurred. My 18 yr. old knows the traffic rules better than the bozo who ignored their sign!

Obviously that other driver was in the wrong, and thankfully that scofflaw didn't collide with your daughter's vehicle. The lesson, as I've imparted verbally many times to my teenage daughter but perhaps is learned only from experience, is to always expect - or at least be ready for - the other guy to do something boneheaded. Put briefly: Drive Defensively. You may be the most law-abiding driver out there, but it takes only one idiot, whose dumb move you don't anticipate because it's Against The Law, to ruin your day!

I think they should just close off that driveway completely. So many people ignore the no left turn to avoid the extra time it takes to go to the other side of the parking lot and sit at the light. Maybe an officer posted in the area dedicated to catching people might help.

there are way too many stupid drivers on the road today that don't even signal or come to a complete stop BEFORE making a right turn on red. They also get out of a line to get ahead then try and get back in line near the beginning so they dont have to wait. ultimately some idiot will let them in thus enabling them to continue this type of crap. They must think they're better than anyone els

I pass that exit from Trumbull Center every day and 1/2 the time someone is making a left turn onto WPR. I wag my finger and point to the sign...they wag a finger back.

Shouldn't we be more worried about real problems going on with in the town? I would like to take this opportunity to talk about the serious J-Walking problem in this town. We really need to start having police officers patrolling all crosswalks to ensure that we have nobody walking outside of a crosswalk! This is a serious issue. Trumbull Patch, maybe you could go take a picture of the actual scene in question, or just use a generic image that has a palm tree in it, well done!
