School on Veteran's Day????

I find it hard to comprehend that Trumbull schools are in session on Veteran's Day. Shame on the Board of Education for reducing this day of reverence and thanksgiving to the men and women who fought for our freedom, to a simple school activity or assembly on November 11th.  I guess it is a sign of the times.
