Carol Hudak
To be a politician,
means to walk a wavy line,
Qualified friends are given jobs . . .
- If they're qualified -
Then maybe that is fine.
Or big bucks supporters,
seem to have some extra clout . . .
Maybe they've a cousin,
And expect a job hand-out.
So let's not be naive,
and say it's never done. . .
Who'd you want as your right hand,
A stranger - or your son?
Take a look at Stern Village,
and decide what you will think . . .
Why were 3 top people trashed,
Creating an uproar - and a stink?
All the Village rose in turmoil,
fearful for their fate . . .
Why did this have to happen?
That's surely open for debate.
Were the accusations that were hurled,
the truth, though acrimonious?
Or . . .
Was the incendiary rhetoric
a ruse,
And morally, felonious?
Pinocchio, Pinocchio,
your nose grew to be a tree . . .
Trumbull voters, be the judge!!
What exactly do You see?
Was the firing and hiring,
done to right egregious wrongs?
Or . . .
is a nose growing in Town Hall,
a sturdy maple, large and strong?
You Decide!
