Police to Start Click It or Ticket Campaign; Holiday Food Drive

The police seatbelt campaign will run for about two weeks.

Drive Carefully

Buckle up or pay up.

Police will hold their annual "Click It or Ticket" campaign from Dec. 3 to Dec. 16.

"Law enforcement is out on the road enforcing the state occupant protection laws and issuing citations to those who are unbuckled."

Trumbull police will also continue with DUI patrols. "Additional officers will be on the road enforcing all motor vehicle violations, including illegal use of cell phones and especially impaired and intoxicated drivers," police said in a statement. "We ask that you help us ensure a safe holiday season for all."

Food for Thought and the Trumbull Food Pantry

The next food drive for the benefit of the Trumbull Food Pantry is this coming weekend, December 1-2, from 10-2 both days in front of Porricelli's.  Volunteers will stand in front and collect non-perishable food, paper goods, and toiletries.

"This is an important time of year for the food pantry, as they have a lot of demand at this time and just gave out a ton of food for Thanksgiving," said one volunteer.
