Cops: Trumbull Mom Who Wants to Sue TECEC Hit Older Daughter

Bridgeport police say she hit the girl in the head with her fist several times.

The Trumbull mother whose daughter's head was allegedly pushed onto a desk at a Trumbull pre-school program was herself recently charged with punching her older daughter in the face and head several times.

Athena Perez-Zamri was arrested for the alleged attack at St. Vincent's Medical Center, after a nurse reportedly witnessed it. Perez-Zamri was there awaiting medical treatment, the Connecticut Post reported.

Perez-Zamri is charged with risk of injury a minor, a felony; third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

The girl involved in the preschool incident was there as well, and both have been turned over to the state Department of Children and Families, according to the Post.

Perez-Zamri was released on a written promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court Dec. 12.

She has filed an intent to sue the Trumbull Early Childhood Education Center after a teacher allegedly pushed her child's head down on a desk repeatedly, allegedly causing bruising.

The teacher, Jean Marie Pulaski, of Stratford, has been suspended and was recently granted special probation that will result in the charges being dropped if she follows court orders.
