Cops: Trumbull Target Ex-Worker Stole Nearly $18,000

Recent arrests by Trumbull Police.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Trumbull Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Alleged Theft from Target

Ginell Marie Baez, 25, of Bond Street, Bridgeport, is charegd with one count of third-degree larceny, seven counts of fourth-degree larceny, three counts of fifth-degree larceny and five counts of sixth-degree larceny.

Police said Baez's cash drawers were short on numerous occasions while she worked at Target in the Westfield Trumbull Mall. The missing funds totalled $17,933.26, police said.

Her bond was set at $15,000.

Man Allegedly Blamed Cell Phone in Crash

Andrew J. Batchelor, 23, of Lynnbrook Road, Trumbull, is charged with driving under the influence, distracting driving and failure to drive right.

Police said Batchelor was arrested on a warrant stemming from an October accident at Strobel Road and Pinewood Trail in which he crashed into pole.

His blood-alcohol level was tested at 0.233, almost three times the legal limit of 0.08.

Batchelor also admitted to drinking before the accident, police said.

In a separate incident, Elizabeth Keeley, 45, of Doris Street, Trumbull, is charged with driving under the influence and failure to grant the right of way.

Police said she crashed on White Plains Road in Trumbull Center. Her blood-alcohol content was tested at 0.181 and 0.164.

Her bond was set at $500.

Drug Overdose Leads to Arrest

Tudormatei Boran, 20, of Lloyd Street, New Haven, is charged with failure to keep drugs in their original container.

Police set his bond at $2,500.
