Allegedly Sleeping Driver Arrested
David Esteban Villarreal, 24, of Glendale Avenue, Bridgeport, is charged with driving under the influence.
Police noticed a car parked on Vazzano Place, and found the driver sleeping. Officers smelled alcohol and found medications that warned against driving while using them.
His bond was set at $1,000.
Loud Muffler Leads to Drug Charges
Anthony Michael Markut, 25, of Greisers Road, Monroe, is accused of herion possession.
Police said Markut was stopped for a loud muffler and was found to have three mostly empty baggies and three full bags of heroin and a needle. He also allegedly had prescription medication tablets not in their container, police said.
He is charged with possession of narcotics, use of drug paraphernalia and failure to keep drugs in their original container. His bond was set at $500.
