Emaciated Dog Found Roaming in Shelton

With an investigation underway, police release photos in hopes that someone may know who the dog belongs to.

When a malnourished dog dragging a metal chain suddenly emerged from the woods and walked into traffic on Monday evening, a woman driving by pulled over, picked the dog up and brought him home.

The Shelton resident called police and told them she had found a dog on Booth Hill Road that appeared to be scared and thin.

The officer transported the dog to a veterinary emergency center for examination. He is now being card for at the Shelton Animal Shelter.
