A Milford man is accused of stealing  from his Trumbull employer in 2008.

Police said man took the aluminum from Avery Abrasives in Trumbull and gave it to second person who sold it for money. He was detained in Milford recently, Trumbull police said.

Officials in Greenwich say a family of seven—five school-aged kids and their parents—is “very lucky” to have survived . Apparently caused by a boiler problem and unnoticed by a dysfunctional detector, someone in the home woke up not feeling well and the family called 911.

In New Canaan, a 17-year-old girl was pulled over and arrested on drug charges by local police as she was  who was making a felony drug arrest on two others.

Westport police arrested a Weston man for dumping a hot coffee on a victim's Apple laptop computer and dropping his iPhone in another cup of coffee while at Starbucks.

Two alleged child predators were  this week. One was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on a warrant, the other was picked up at work with a passport and plane ticket to Columbia on his person.

Norwalk Police gained two new additions and  when Kimbo and Kai joined on as their newest K-9 officers.

A robbery in Norwalk was initially reported to have only had about $50 stolen from the residence. Later, homeowners said they hadn't realized a  had also been stolen.

A 48-year-old Fairfield man  in early April, leaving her without any form of transportation, police said. The man was arrested last weekend on a warrant for disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

A Darien man being driven home from New York City by a car service was arrested after he arrived home and began punching a rear passenger window of the Cadillac Escalade "without provocation," according to police.

In two other, unrelated incidents, a Darien woman was  in Needham, MA, when she appeared to be intoxicated and would not pay a cab driver last month; and a Darien executive, William B. Jennings,  in February after a dispute with a cab driver that led to assault charges.

Two women in their 60s , citing the food was "too greasy." The women each drove away in a BMW, the diner's manager told police.
