Stranger Offers Easton Teen Candy at Bus Stop

A 15-year-old Easton male had just gotten off the school bus on Kachele Street Wednesday afternoon and started walking up his driveway, when a black male in a dark-color Mercedes pulled up and offered him chocolate, according to police.

The teen ran into his house and called his father, who in turn called the police at 1:12 p.m.

"Easton officers immediately responded to the scene, but were unable to locate the vehicle," said Chief James Candee. "Kachele Street runs from Madison Avenue in Trumbull to the cul-de-sac in Easton. The intersection is approximately one-quarter mile from the Madison Middle School in Trumbull."

Area police departments were notified.
