Trumbull Police: Unlicensed Handyman; Woman Tracked by GPS

Handyman Nabbed

A Trumbull handyman is accused of working without a license.

Kenneth Nixon, 32, of Old Hollow Road, was arrested by Trumbull Police based on a warrant from the state's Consumer Protection Division. Police did not have further details, but Nixon has been charged by the Trumbull Building Department with failing to pull permits on one job in Trumbull.

He also has a pending small claims suit filed against him by a Trumbull customer.

Spouse Accused of Eavesdropping on Wife

A Trumbull man who allegedly put two GPS units and one listening device in his wife's car has been charged with eavesdropping.

In addition, police said the suspect, Steve Rinaldo Delcegno, 32, of Ceil Road, Trumbull, had 31 guns in home, which were removed from his home after his arrest.

His bond was set at $10,000.

Police Allegedly Pursue Trumbull Woman

A Woodfield Drive woman is accused of engaging police in pursuit after she allegedly went to her ex-husband's home where she had been banned.

Heather Anne Johnson, 43, is charged with third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree breach of the peace, traveling unreasonably fast, engaging police in pursuit, failure to obey a stop sign and interfering with police.

Police said she has repeatedly returned to her ex-husband's home and this time fled to her home and locked herself inside.

She was later spotted driving but refused to stop at first.

Her bond was set at $5,000.

Accused Shoplifting Leads to Drug Charge

A Bridgeport man faces marijuana charges after he allegedly stole items from Lord & Taylor at the Westfield Trumbull Mall April 14.

Duane Shaheem Bartelle, 26, of Waterman Street, is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, first-degree criminal trespass and sixth-degree larceny.

Police said he took a shirt and pants, total value $143, and left without paying. When stopped, he confessed to having 11 baggies of marijuana. He had also been previously banned from the mall.

His bond was set at $5,000.

Guns Seized Following Domestic Violence Arrest

A Trumbull man was arrested on domestic violence charges April 17.

Michael Joseph Hulas, of Silver Lane, Trumbull, is charged with third-degree assault and second-degree threatening.

He was arrested by warrant and police seized a pistol and a shotgun from his home.

His bond was set at $100,000.

Seymour Man Accused of DUI

Ralph A. Minopoli, 54, of Clifton Street, is accused of driving under the influence and interfering with police.

Police said he left Marisa's Ristorante in Trumbull and several people tried to stop him from driving away on his motorcycle.

When police arrived, he was tested and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.145 and 0.139, nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08.

His bond was set at $1,000.

Brush Fires Reported

Deputy Fire Marshal Alex Rauso has reported numerous brush fires earlier this week, including one behind Calhoun Avenue. "None severe and a few open burns and camp fires that we made [people] extinguish because of the extremely dry conditions," Rauso said.
