Trumbull Cops: Bridgeport Man Stole Gun

Trumbull Police nabbed a man on numerous charges Nov. 19.

Jean Carlos Serrano, 18, of Sheridan Street, Bridgeport, is charged with possession of a pistol without a permit, two counts of third-degree burglary and single counts of third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree larceny and theft of a firearm.

He had a gun that had been reported stolen in a previous home burglary, police said.

Police said officers located three youths on bicycles with backpacks containing stolen items. The items were then traced back to burglaries in Trumbull and the bicycles had been reported stolen from a Trumbull garage, according to police.

Serrano's bond was set at $50,000 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
